Who we are
MyIskra (myiskra.com) is a free, non-commercial dating service operated by MyIskra. Contact: ronyashay@gmail.com.
Data we collect
Email; password (stored only as a scrypt hash); profile fields (name, city, age, gender, languages, native language, goal, children, culture, nature, travel, habits, optional appearance, and which fields you hide); profile photos (Vercel Blob); session tokens; optional pet-contest photos and votes; report reasons; and approximate location only if inferred from the city you typed (the Android app does not request GPS).
Why we use it
To run your account, matching and search, prevent abuse (reports and blocks), and optionally run the pet contest. We do not sell your data or show third-party ads.
Processors
Hosting and storage: Vercel (site and Blob photos) and Neon (Postgres). If you use the on-site “Ask Grok” help chat, your messages may be sent to xAI to answer you.
Retention and deletion
We keep data until you delete your account. Backups may lag for a short period. Delete in the app or on this site: https://myiskra.com/en/delete-account.
Security
HTTPS/TLS in transit; passwords hashed with scrypt; emails are never shown on public profiles.
Children
MyIskra is for adults 18+ only and is not directed at children.
